Walter Beck - Fine Artist
My parents gave me a Kodak Brownie at a very young age and I was hooked. Ever since that, I have always had a camera in my hands. Professionaly, I took a different path - technology. I have held a FCC 1st class radiotelephony license and worked at the phone company for several years. Went to a computer school and work in that arena for several more years. Back to college and then in the computing industry for the next 25 or so years plus a shot at running my own company.
All that time, a camera was in my hands or close by. I have gone from Brownie, to bellows 35mm camera, to Canon F-1 slr and other Canon 35mm slrs, to medium format and now digital. I still have all the cameras and use them from time to time. I just acquired a 4 X 5 view camera and am exploring it with great excitment.
Being a computer geek, I have become proficint in Photoshop and Lightroom.
I am now semi-retired and trying to establish my retirement business as a professional photographer.
